The Realms of Senith
ShaRealm
Formerly Known as Greater Sha. This is the region settled by humans of Amr long ago. In a truce between the Amati and Korasha nations of Amr, most of the latter nation were granted leave to this continent. This ended a war that would surely have erased the Korasha bloodlines. The taming of the jungles of Runt has been an extremely slow process, and this region is still dangerous. The Orc Wars of San and the War of Tarnti has erased much of the progress made, and the rebuilding process continues into the present.
Informal alliances between the many villages and towns of this region forms an independent State that is sometimes referred to as Greater Sha. Representation of the interests of each town of at least one-hundred people meet in Weedii. Sentiments of the region remains firmly against fiefdoms, but recognizing the requirement to defend themselves from regional powers, such as the Kingdom of Mirin, or previously the pirate states of Sette, as well as organizing a defense against threats from the jungles itself continues to require a regional force of their own. The government is an adhocracy reflecting Sha’s distaste of formalities that hinder efficient function; a common saying here is that while a King speaks to ending threats to the populace, a lizard eats all who listen before dinner is served late due to a debate in the kitchen as to who will bring it out in the presence of a beast that will surely eat them as well.
The only formal position outside of the region’s military and guard is the Director of Sha. This leadership position is filled by a simple majority vote by the representatives in Weedii. The focus of the government formed by the Director varies beyond the individual selected; they are expected to adapt to complete various tasks quickly. Often the Director will conscript the services of people they need. The length of public service for conscripts is expected to be short. Lengthy service that is not paid can result in a Director being imprisoned by Weedii guardsmen for kidnapping and being forced to explain themselves to a court, resulting in being charged with Treason if the hearing goes badly.
