The Realms of Senith

SenithSphere

A Brief Introduction to the Crown Adventurers. The first acts of the young King Vince were to form parties of adventurers. He summoned delegates from the various regions of his Kingdom of Tahin to the capital city of Elkwood to hear of their troubles first-hand. In return for personally seeing to their matters, he asked the delegates to act as his agents and complete quests for him while he personally prepared to deal with the troubles of their homes. As every free moment of his youth was spent reading tales of historic adventures, his first acts came as no surprise to those who knew him as a prince.

With the success of the adventurers’ first missions came more teams of adventurers operating with limited royal authority. They operate separately from the guards, noble houses, temples, and are funded by the various resources they find. This allows the king’s adventurers to function as all of constables, negotiators, and leaders, depending on the situations they encounter.

While there are dissenters in the political sphere to the King having his own agents separate from the coffers of the Kingdom, sometimes recruited from disreputable backgrounds, the royal adventurers are commonly seen as an immediate success. Bonds were sold to the populace to start operations, and they quickly became valuable with the rediscovery of an ancient dwarven trade city that is now called Moredville. This quickly led to the adventurers becoming self-funded, directly overseen by the King himself.
